English Proficiency and Level Placement Exam for New Students was held at Near East University


The English Language Proficiency and Level Placement Examination was administered by English Preparatory School to the new students enrolled in the programs carried out in English at the Near East University.

According to the information given by the Near East University Press and Public Relations Directorate, students will be placed in the elementary, pre-intermediate and intermediate level groups in accordance with the overall grade they have obtained at the exam carried out to measure the level of English knowledge in reading, listening, grammar and vocabulary. Students who become successful in the proficiency test will directly be transferred to the faculty they are affiliated with.


Enis Sayman, Director of the Preparatory School of the Near East University, stated that English Preparatory School lecturers participated in a professional training program to update their knowledge about the latest developments in English Language Teaching and the students will be trained with the latest technological innovations that will be employed through the new school year.

Saying that “EMPOWER” book, which is decided to be used in the English Preparatory School, will be processed and evaluated through the online portal, and studies on the relevant methodology, curriculum, testing and evaluation that are planned to be carried out on the internet have been carried out. Sayman also said “We wish a successful and peaceful academic year to our students”.
