As part of the social responsibility activity organized by the Near East University English Preparatory School during the 2025–2026 Spring Semester, a visit was arranged to the Nicosia Animal Shelter, and dog food purchased through the contributions of the students was delivered to the shelter. During the event, students helped transport the donations, observed the shelter environment, and interacted directly with the animals. Through this experience, they developed greater awareness of social responsibility, empathy, and compassion for animals. The visit also provided students with a meaningful learning experience outside the classroom and contributed to the development of their sense of voluntary participation for the benefit of society. In recognition of the dog food donation, the Nicosia Turkish Municipality presented a certificate of appreciation to the students.
