Exam Registration Procedures
English Proficiency Test (UNPT) Announcement
- The English Proficiency Test (UNPT) for students who have registered for undergraduate degree programs for the 2026-2027 Fall Semester will be held on 14 September 2026. This date will be the FIRST examination date. As long as university registrations continue, the English Proficiency Tests will be administered twice a week.
⚠️ Students who have completed the application form correctly and completely but are not called for the examination on 14 September 2026 will be invited to the next examination date.
⚠️ Students who complete the application form incorrectly or incompletely will not be called for the examination. These students must complete the application form again correctly.
⚠️ Students who complete the application form and are called for the examination, but do not attend the examination will be admitted to the next examination date only on the condition that they complete the application form again.
- If you think that your English level is not sufficient to follow the courses in your department, you may choose not to take the English Proficiency Test and start the English Preparatory School directly.
In this case, you must contact the English Preparatory School ([email protected]) and you must not complete the English Proficiency Test application form.
Students who do not wish to take the examination will be registered in the English Preparatory School at the lowest level (A1) and will lose their exemption examination rights.
- Students who will take the examination must complete the English Proficiency Test application form provided in the link below accurately and completely and click the “Submit” button. Your application will be received by our office.
After submitting the form, you will not recieve an automatic confirmation or reply.
⚠️ STUDENTS WHO DO NOT COMPLETE THE APPLICATION FORM WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO TAKE THE EXAMINATION.
- It is very important that you enter your e-mail address correctly in the form. Once the examination date, location, and time are determined, the necessary information will be sent to you via e-mail.
- 1–2 days before the examination, your invigilator will send you detailed information regarding the examination via e-mail.
- Taking the examination in the university computer laboratories is mandatory. The examination will not be conducted remotely (online).
About the Exam Results
The exam results will be published within 2–3 days after the exam date in the Announcements section of prep.neu.edu.tr. Students are required to check their results on the relevant page themselves.
- If the result states "PASS / Department", the student is exempt from the English Preparatory School. To complete the registration process, the student must contact the Student Affairs Office of their department.
- If the result states "FAIL / English Preparatory School", the student will be placed in an English Preparatory School class appropriate to their level.
The English Preparatory School class schedule and the necessary information will be sent to the student via e-mail.
