3.1. The Unit Quality Commission is responsible for ensuring the effective coordination of quality assurance processes carried out in all academic and administrative units of the department. The Commission performs this duty in alignment with the university’s overall quality policies.
3.2. The duties, authorities, and responsibilities of the Commission are listed below:
- Establishment and Development of the Quality Assurance System: Carries out the establishment of the quality assurance system at the unit level, the development of the existing system, and ensuring its sustainability.
- Implementation of Policies and Strategies: Ensures the implementation of the quality policies, strategic goals, and action plans determined by the University Quality Commission at the unit level and monitors their implementation.
- Evaluation of Compliance with Quality Indicators: Evaluates the extent to which education, training, and community engagement activities comply with quality indicators.
- Preparation of the Unit Internal Evaluation Report (BİDR): Prepares the unit’s internal evaluation report at the end of each academic year, develops action plans accordingly, and submits the relevant reports to the University Quality and Accreditation Coordination Office.
- Evaluation of Feedback: Evaluates feedback received from internal and external stakeholders, develops continuous improvement recommendations based on this feedback, and monitors the implementation processes.
- Data Management: Conducts the processes of collecting, storing, analyzing, and updating all data related to quality. Provides regular data reporting based on quality indicators.
- Coordination Between Commissions: Ensures the integration of other commissions operating within the unit into quality processes and coordinates joint quality-focused activities.
- Awareness and Training Activities: Organizes seminars, workshops, information meetings, and other awareness activities aimed at developing a quality culture within the unit.
- Reporting and Information Sharing: Submits the information, documents, and reports requested by the University Quality and Accreditation Coordination Office accurately and on time.
